Sa biographie

Ms Young is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, currently serving as Australia’s Consul General in Noumea, with accreditation to Wallis and Futuna, and Permanent Representative to the SPC. She has previously served overseas in Jakarta and Noumea, as Deputy Consul General.

In Canberra, Ms Young has served as an Adviser to the Foreign Minister and worked on a range of Indo-Pacific foreign and economic policy issues with a focus on Southeast Asia. Ms Young has also held roles in the private sector, including as the Indonesian country manager for Newcrest Mining.

Ms Young holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.

She speaks French and Indonesian.
